I'm sure this has been covered but....
Best springs for bbc powered LWB 69 chevy??? Is pinion angle even an issue with these trucks??? Good cheap shocks???
Starting a new project. 69 lwb 1/2 ton ho 72 rear diff with 4.57 gears 468 BBc oval ports, mild flat tappet cam, forged pistons and lots of nitrous. two plates a cheater and a big shot th350 3200 stall just want cheap fun as you can tell |

Are you lowering it? You might take a look at pinion angle...
Don't go too cheap on the shocks, you'll regret it. Unless you're trying to get your suspension figured out and NEED something. Then by all means, go cheap!

There is no true answer to your question with out more info. Front and rear weights along with compressed height based on desired ride height are parts of the puzzle. That info will allow us to help give you an educated guess.

Without getting all technical on you, I assume the truck isn't lowered and the suspension parts are stock excluding the rear end. For cheap fun, I say just go buy new shocks. They will be stiffer that your old worn out ones. And get some fatter tires. Also with all the Nitrous, try leaving at a lower rpm or not use the nos right off the launch. I'd say that's about as cheap as you can go if you're just wanting some fun on the weekends. If you want to not go cheap, then listen to the guys above lol
