1971 converted 2wd - leaf spring lowering
Hello men,
I have recently used 3" drop spindles to lower the front of my blazer...but the rear hanger and shackle kit did not fit. Any suggestions/ parts to get the rear of my blazer down around 3"?? |

Re: 1971 converted 2wd - leaf spring lowering
I have not had much luck finding a 2.5" drop leaf spring only the 2.25" for the trucks. Any particular company I should check?

Early Classic Enterprises carries 4" drop leaf springs:
From the link, go to "Catalog" and scroll down to "Leaf Springs and Rear Shackles" http://www.earlyclassic.com/catalog.aspx |

Re: 1971 converted 2wd - leaf spring lowering
They are for a C10 or 2wd blazer....2.25" leafs. I have a converted 4wd blazer with 2.5" leafs. My front end is done trying to figure out the rear without having to bag it.

Re: 1971 converted 2wd - leaf spring lowering
Will the 73-87 52" or 56" leaf springs work?
I thought all the 67-72 leaf springs were the same width? http://www.performanceonline.com/197...af-Spring-Set/

Re: 1971 converted 2wd - leaf spring lowering
Men,
The rear leaf springs on my converted K5 are 52" long and 2.5" wide. I can not locate a rear lowering leaf spring for the blazer, but Performance Online offers a lowering leaf spring for a 1973-1987 chevy truck that is 52" x 2.5" wide. What other measurements might I need to see if that spring setup will work on the blazer? I really appreciate all the help...god knows I need it! |
