1953 Chevy Truck Polished Grill

I ordered a new SS glove box door. I looked all over for a SS speaker/ashtray grill but there waas not one to be found. I inquired about getting it chromed but was told that the metal was so thin it would not chrome very well. I came up with the idea of having it bead blasted, polished and sprayed with clear laquer. I went to a company close to my house called Race Tech. They are located west of Burlington, NC to see if my plan would work. They polished it up and put a coat of clear powder coating on it and I was (and still am) thrilled about the way it turned out. I have attached some pictures of both pieces seperate and side by side but was unable to send the original because I could never resize it to a size that would show the true quality. So, the attached photo is not very viewable. I just wanted to share this with you to show that regular non SS can be polished and coated to a beautiful and lasting luster. If you would like for me to send you a full size picture via email please email me at gag1025@yahoo.com.

Re: 1953 Chevy Truck Polished Grill

Did you read my post? The part that said that the site would not allow me to send the large photo and made me downsize it to the point that it was difficult to see? That is why I put my email address on there and indicated that I would be glad to send the full size photos to anyone who sent me an email.

I always put my photos on a photo host and post them from that. If you don't have photobucket or some other photo host email the photo to me mr48chev@yahoo.com and I'll be happy to post it in a larger size.

AND you can't post the full 642 pixel wide pictures.

But that grill does look top notch!

Re: 1953 Chevy Truck Polished Grill

go to photobucket.com, make an account and start uploading
when you post a picture that you have uploaded there is a [IMG] link
click on it, it will copy to your clipboard, go to your post here and contr+v to paste the link in your post
you can upload from either a smartphone or, like i do, from my dumbphone

when setting up photobucket, you can't move a picture once you have posted or the link will be broken
so use some sense in making folders, just like you store stuff for the wife and kids on your computer
i learned the hard way and have pics i'd like to move to folders but can't

if you need help pm me
