Will calipers off a 3/4 ton work on a 1/2 ton? I need to replace a caliper and am short on cash, a buddy of mine has some for a 3/4 ton told to look into seeing if they work if they will i can have them. Dont have my hopes up but thanks for the help in advance.

Re: Brake caliper

Upon further review by the off ice officials....

I'm looking at the brake system release charts for the 1987 model year, and they do show a 3/4 ton 7200 lb GVW (JB7/JD6) that uses the same caliper (18011030 & 18011031) as the 1/2 ton.

So - I guess we need some more detail as to what he has and what you have.

Oh - then we are back to "nope".

You'd have to have JB5 or higher and he'd have to have a 7200 lb JB6.
