Pretty much anything that is salvageable. Almost anything and everything has a demand when it comes to these trucks. You can use the parts board as a basis of what people usually are looking for or parting out on these.

How about the v6 engine? It has oil in it, I need to see if it will turn over. Too bad its so rusty this has to be a somewhat low production truck.

Re: 1967 gmc 3/4 4x4
GMC put there v-6(big block 305) engines in a bunch of the trucks. Though, I don't think many after 67. Far as I know, they aren't worth too much but there is still a desire for them with some people. Most people that got one with the v-6 have swapped to a v-8. I would suggest putting everything on the parts board with prices and see what you can get.

Re: 1967 gmc 3/4 4x4
If this thing is going to get parted out, take it to the parts board and speak for parts there, not on here.
If I was you braink, don't sell the accessories off the engine. These engines are a little rare to come by these days, and parts are hard to find. If you part the accessories out, you might not be able to see the engine. From a little research, most of these engines that have sold on the internet have went anywhere between $300-500. All different conditions. Good luck.

Re: 1967 gmc 3/4 4x4
Thanks for the opinions, I will probably sell it whole on the board rather than part it, not worth the hassle. At least I wont take it to the crusher

Re: 1967 gmc 3/4 4x4
Basically it is a running gear, the cab is shot as is the box. Too bad because its an early truck. Still need to see if she turns over.

Re: 1967 gmc 3/4 4x4
Actually it doesn't seem all that bad compared to what I have seen some people start with. You should see some of the trucks we have started with in Missouri. Looks like a new floor in the cab and rockers, probably a new floor in the bed, front fenders repaired or replaced. Not a bad basis for some to start off with that had the time and money into it.
But parting it out isn't a bad thing either, way better than the crusher. Have fun.

Re: 1967 gmc 3/4 4x4
I just picked up the same truck. If yours has power assist steering, I'd be interested. I don't think it looks too bad either though.
The 67 I picked up is pretty tight but the steering is a bear. The big block V6 is pretty strong. Posted via Mobile Device |
