rear window rust repair

Is there a repair panel for the rear window? I have looked all over the web and on this forum. I have rust in both lower corners, under the weather stripping. PO just put bondo on it

I don't know of any repair panel for that. I haven't seen any threads on rust there till yours. It seems odd because I've seen them rust there. Does your truck have a sliding window?

Re: rear window rust repair

If you can't find one you might be able to find one in the junk yard you can cut out and weld in place. Just a thought.

Someone on the board is bound to have a junk cab that they can cut you a patch panel that you can use and it will be OE steel too.

Re: rear window rust repair

That's what I've done. I've also had cabs rust out between the cargo light and top of window. Neither are easy fixes, but worth it on an otherwise healthy cab.

It used to have a sliding rear, I wanted a solid window so I traded for even up with a guy locally. the rust is on the outer corners.
