Re: 307-3speed on tree
i have that setup in my 72 Suburban C20 and it works pretty good. most people prefer the increased power and more plentiful parts choices you get with a 350, but i wouldn't junk it if it is still in good shape. basically a 283 with the 3-1/4" stroke crank from the 327. some people will bore them out to make a poor man's 327, although true 327's have more meat to support the larger bore of the 327 (which is shared with the 350). biggest issue was the 307 only came with a 2 barrel in our trucks. A Q-jet swap will wake it up like it did on my truck.
1966 and newer 3 speed Saginaw's are improved over the earlier units and feature a synchronized 1st gear (no more double clutching or coming to a complete stop to get it into 1st). i'd think the linkages could be useful also as they are a high wear item. the clutch pedal setup is valuable to anyone wanting to go old school and put a stick shift in their truck. a 6 speed behind an LS7 would be pretty killer in a SWB or 2wd Blazer! |

Re: 307-3speed on tree
Asking 75.00 for the trans and 75.00 for colum pedals z bar and all linkage. I would do a package deal for 125.00 But shipping would be a killer !

Are you selling any more parts from the blazer. I need the radio speaker and cover that hangs under the dash.
