Vehicle Photos and White Balance....
White balance in photography refers to the temperature of light as measured
on the Kelvin scale, usually 0 to 9000. Lord Kelvin developed this some time ago. Anyway, photography is a secondary hobby of mine next to cars, trucks, etc. You can get better results if you adjust the white balance on your DSLR or one of the newer translucent mirror cameras. There are meters(big bucks), guessing(free) and filter like devices(cheap to maybe 60 bucks) depending on lens diameter. There is also auto balance, don't trust it. This is easy to do as long as you read your manual...try it, it doesn't hurt. I use something called an expo disc and I get pictures of human looking car show girls and paint jobs that are really close to the real thing. Lol, mercury vapor light is impossible to fix. Oh yeah try and use a fast lens inside like a 1:1.4 and/or a strong flash. |

Re: Vehicle Photos and White Balance....
Blah, blah, show girls... Now ya got me.
A post about pic quality w/o pics... Hmm. Bad pics, particularly w/ half dressed girls (ok, Liz get's steamed) help advance your cause. Lord Kelvin makes me think of very cold things. Have you an example of good, bad and indifferent white balance in photography? |
