76c10 to 65 c10 upper and lower control arms

I have a set of 76 2wd c10 upper and lower control arms with spindles
and disc brakes Curious if I need to swap everything over onto my 65 or if I can just swap the spindles to install the disc brakes
Curious if the upper and lower arms are the same???

You can swap everything,... but you will need all the 73-87 steering also.

ball joints are different, your upper and lower control arms will bolt on but you will need all the 73-87 steering.

Personally,... I would just buy some 63-70 conversion spindles (stock or drop) for $229.
Everyone sells them.
Steal the rotors and calipers off your '76 parts and just bolt them on.

Ok,... I lied.
I would not use ANY of your '76 stuff.
I would buy conversion spindles and then get NEW rotors, calipers and bearngs from my local auto parts store.
Use a 71-72 M/C and an aftermarket prop valve.

I can't help but type the same thing over and over.
But used 71-87 parts are WORE OUT!
Why re-use them?

Unless your '76 parts were RECENTLY rebuilt,... scrap them.

I agree with lolife99-
if you do it right- by the time you buy 4 new balljoints, upper and lower control arm bushings, have them all installed(if you cannot do it yourself) new bearings, seals, calipers, pads,hoses and hardware kits, resurface the rotors and new tie rods, how much do you really save with JUNKyard parts?

Well the reason I asked the question is because I bought upper and lower a arms and spindles off a 76 2wd c10 to use on my 66 c10 with Porterbuilt dropmember then ordered a disc brake kit from Performance Online for the 76 spindles that were 6 lug so I could use stock wheels. When I bolted the stock wheel on the new rotor it hits the caliper and wont let the wheel turn SOOOO thought I would use the disc brakes on a 65 I have with 15" centerline wheels and didnt know if I could just swap the spindle from the 76 onto the 65 and use the disc brake kit on it...
If I havent confused everyone I could use some advice.....

You have to use upper and lower ball joints for the '76 on your stock '65 a arms(upper and lower)
OR
Swap a-arms/spindle combo over- it is a bolt on.

You can either buy conversion tie rod adjuster sleeves to add the '76 outer tie rods to your '65 steering linkage,
OR swap out the entire steering from the '76 to the '65

and FYI there are no disc brake kits that clear OEM 15" wheels, that I have heard of- they all hit the calipers.

This is incorrect.
Tons of disc brake 15" wheeled trucks running around.
5-lug is automatic.
Works fine.

6-lug with 15" wheels just need to run a post-'70 style wheel.
71-87 4x4 wheels work fine with 6-lug aftermarket rotors.

All 15" wheels should have no more than a 4" backspace.

What I meant was using the OEM '65 6 lug wheels- I understood they will not work with the disc brake kits.
Maybe I misunderstood, but have seen several footnotes on kits about it.

so looks like the simple way is to get 76 upper and lower ball joints and use the 76 spindles on the 65 a arms and the Performance Online disc brake kit I already have
What year master cylinder would work best or should I go with a aftermarket mastercylinder?????
