I think my cab was swapped...

Got looking at my VIN's today and noticed that the cab VIN and ins. card VIN dont match. The cab VIN decodes to be a 73 Chevy 1/2 ton 2WD. The ins card VIN is correct, whoch decodes to be a 75 Chevy 3/4 ton 4WD. I'm thinking strongly to the possibility that someone changed the cab...

Also, the cab VIN says the engine is a 307, when the other VIN says its a 2 Bolt 350. which it has.

Could very well be, my cab, bed, fenders, and core support are all from different vehicles

That's how my dads "75 GMC" will maybe someday be. He has a title for a 75 GMC one ton, has the chassis from a 73-80 one ton SRW, cab from an 81, box from a 79 etc. all the parts have been scattered around for 8 years or more...
Will he ever build it? we never know.
