Transmission cooler question
I have a parts master tranny cooler to hook up to my TH 350 today to finish up the cooling system. Does it matter which lines goes to which side of the cooler? And if so, could anyone help a brother out on figuring out which one goes where? Everything is installed, I just need to connect the hard lines from the tranny to the hose ends of the cooler

Re: Transmission cooler question
I don't think it actually matters as the fluid is under pressure. I think but am not positive that I ran mine in at the top and out at the bottom.

Re: Transmission cooler question
I believe the pressure side is on the bottom ( lower of the 2 fittings on the trans) and the return is the upper.

Re: Transmission cooler question
As long as your on the return side of the radiator outlet it doesn't matter. It should go from trans to radiator to cooler back to trans. The reasoning is that the radiator should bring it down to 180 - 200 and the cooler brings it lower.

Re: Transmission cooler question
One other consideration is to plumb so fluid enters bottom of cooler and exits through top if possible. Helps purge air and reduce air pockets.
