Hello, I been meaning post that new here finally able with old Grumpy running strong. I noticed that battery is usually in the passenger side by the radiator. My has been moved to drivers side with box welding in the inner fender. There was a battery cut off switch on The passenger side.

Yeah, the battery doesn't belong there. Does the tire come up and rub the bottom of the battery tray?

That's a weird spot for a battery. I wonder what the previous owner was thinking. Your positive cable lead to the starter is really long because it has to go from the driver's side all the way down to the starter. For power cables, shorter is always better.

I like where GM put the battery from the factory. It's solidly secured to the inner fender and core support, and it's on the "right" side of the engine compartment.

No rubbing so far if plan going lower I move it . There a lot of things I been wondering what the PO was thinking on this truck. Still can't get past the wire nuts ti splice the wires together.

Found it rubs when turn left or right when there dip so action, slow down before the turn equal wide says drive lime old man.

THey put your battery there cause your rad is wider than a stock one and the battery won't fit where it belongs.

Thanks for info the truck was shipped to Washington from Fremont then ended down in the desert. Why I drive all day long with out it getting hot
