Re: What is your "other" shop equipment

We found our dream home about a year ago, couple miles into the country but not too far. For my boy and I, the shops were the draw. We've been constantly working on them, but still have a ways to go. The 45x60 is insulated and has a 500 sq. ft. upstairs bedroom w/full bath and 500 sq. ft. room downstairs that we turned into our "break room"...both with central air, also have a half bath downstairs. This is our primary work/play shop/area. The 30x60 shop is un-insulated and serves as storage. We still pinch ourselves every now and then to make sure it's real...having worked out of a garage for so long (with an extremely uptight HOA), this is heaven!!

Re: What is your "other" shop equipment

I had that set up in a dream once! lol 2 nice shops and a lawn big enough to justify a riding mower. I'm thinking about working down in your neck of the woods. If I make it down there we should hook up and you can show me all this illegal drag racing thats on TV. lol

I'm not into that scene, hear a lot about it...some good, some bad.
When I'm in the burb, every now and then, at a drive thru or gas station, somebody will ask me if I'm going to "call out" the farm truck or something...just gotta laugh!

Re: What is your "other" shop equipment

This is my cave, the stereo [can't see on left] stove keeps me nice and toasty when it's cold out, refer full of cold beer when its hot or anytime there is an excuse. It is 25x30' it's small compared to some but enough room for me, keep the beer flowing..Vernski

Sorry - is that a chevy or a gmc? 60 chevy hood and gmc grill/headlights - whats the under-carriage? I see so many butchered (enhanced) trucks it makes my head spin! Oh yea - NICE SHOP!!!! Wish I had it and didn't have to lay down in the rocks to work on my undercarriage. My shop is my backyard. UGHHHHH!!!!!!

It started out as a '66 Chevy but since we started the project we have changed the body up to our favorite parts and pieces of 60-66 GM trucks... It is sitting on an '86 1-ton longbed Chevy chassis, we took two '66 cabs and made it into an extended cab, put a '60-'63 Chevy dash in it, 60' Chevy hood, GMC grill, and a GMC tailgate with an earlier style script stamped into it. But thanks, and I know what your mean about laying on the rocks to work on stuff, before this place I spent the summers laying on $0.99 walmart pool floaties under our projects.
