1965 Chevy C10 conversion to disc and PS
I am restoring a 1965 Chevrolet C10 Fleetside Longbed but I am converting it to a shortbed and adding front and rear disc brakes and power steering I have a friend with a 1971 Chevrolet 1/2 truck being parted out would the entire front end axle and rear axle bolt directly on my 1965 I have read that 73-87 Chevys will but nothing on a 1971 any help would be very much appreciated thank you.

Yes, the '71-'72 parts will work just fine. The rear differential will be a direct bolt in and ahve the 5x5 wheel stud pattern. But be aware that it will be 1.5" wider than your current differential. To install the front brakes, there is no need to change the control arms as they are exactly the same as what your '65 has. Just change the ball joints and add the spindles, rotors, calipers, etc. I always recommend changing the entire steering linkage, rather than going with the special tie rod adapter sleeves. To change the steering linkage, you will have to drill 2 holes to mount the '71 idler arm. You can take some reference measurements from the '71 frame. I sell the power steering box adapter plates as well as the tube and flange, for the power steering upgrade.

In regards to the 1971 parts will the front end with the 71 crossmember and front end bolt right in place of the 65 crossmember are they they same dimensions width and bolt placement?

With wise the dimensions are the same. Bolt hole locations are the same with maybe a couple holes on each side needing elongated. Those can be elongated when it's bolted in.
