No power at accy in fuse block
So yesterday I was testing some connections on my radio. I was using the 1 wire orange pin connectors at the fuse block. I accidentally touched it to the dash trying to crawl out from under it. I noticed today my clock and overhead light don't work. They're both plugged into the "Battery accessory" plugs at the bottom of the block with the orange 1 wire connectors. Is there a fuse for that? It says battery + and the book doesn't list anything. Everything else on the truck works.

The fuse marked Radio should be the one your looking for.

Re: No power at accy in fuse block
I just had the same thing happen last week. On my 79 the dome light is on the horn fuse. That is where I'd check first.

Re: No power at accy in fuse block
If this is the orange wire your talking about, it should be the 20 amp fuse right above it.

Re: No power at accy in fuse block
Those 2 columns of BAT sockets are powered through (and proctected by) the 20 amp fuse labeled HORN/DIM.
It is the top fuse - just below the shunt - on the far left column of fuses. Never mind the above that is for an 85+. But on an 81, the BAT stabs are still hot through the 20 amp HORN/DM fuse Last edited by chengny; 09-01-2013 at 06:24 PM. |

Success! Horn didn't work. Fuse blown. Clock works now
