Project: NO NAME

Hey guys I just started my LS1 swap and thought I would post some pics so I could get some feedback on what to do and not to do. A little info the motor is a 2001 Camaro motor with a T56 six speed. The truck is a 64 chevy.

Re: Project: NO NAME

I just did a small rebuild had the block cleaned and new cam bearings installed. I ordered a Texas Speed 224R 224/224 .581"/.581" Camshaft with a 112 LSA with beehive vavle springs, and cometic head gaskets.

Re: Project: NO NAME

It was actually the easiest thing so far I just removed the rear tailshaft housing and used a dremel to cut the shift rail the cleaned everything up!

Re: Project: NO NAME

When everyone gets their computers tuned what all needs to be removed like rear o2 sensors, vats, and so on. I plan on having Texas speed to tune it for me because that's were I bought the custom grind cam from and they said just send us a list of what to turn off???

Any progress? Any pictures with the tranny installed showing where the shifter sits in the truck?

Have a real tune done on a dyno. Mail order tunes are fine for startup but will never unlock the potential of the motor.
