Scored some hubcaps
I scored some 56 BelAir hubcaps today. What do you think yes or no?
Also scored a shortbed frame to swap out my bent one.

They just pop onto the inside lip of the rim.

Re: Scored some hubcaps
Picky, picky, picky
These are wheel covers, hub caps cover the hub of the wheel or just the center. But, cool covers and yes painting the rims at least body color would spruce it up a bit. |

Re: Scored some hubcaps
I like the way they look. In fact that's what came on the 1960 trucks if wheel covers were ordered, because 1956 was the last year of the standard 15" wheels. In 1957 the passenger cars went to 14", so these were the only left overs that fit on the truck wheels.
Also note those covers are designed to snap on to the special wheels made for them. 1956 Chevy passenger car wheels, Corvettes, and my 1960 GMC wheels had 4 nubs pressed into them to retain the wheel covers. They may actually stay on later model wheels with safety beads, but they may also fall off easily in service. I can post a photo of what the correct wheel rims look like in a while, since I'm not on my own computer at the moment.

Re: Scored some hubcaps
I'm so used to seeing them with whitewalls... but not sure how it would look on a truck.

Re: Scored some hubcaps
I think they look good. The nice option is that you have plenty of places where you can tape and paint in and really make them pop. I also agree as stated above that some white walls would really make them pop.

Re: Scored some hubcaps
markebo1 is what your 60 wheels look like another guys has these and looking to see just what they are for? "Does anyone know what year these are off if. I can't see a stamping on them and bought them for my 65. They look like they have beauty rim nubs on them which I don't recognize." this is from LT1BURB in the "rim ID help needed " thread
