New---1976 GMC Crew Cab K2500 4X4
Yeah I know they don't really exist, but it had a front axel added in making it such. Drives straight as an arrow, slight bit of play in the steering wheel. How much play is normal when the truck was new off the lot? Wondering if my steering box is wearing or adjustable?
Next question... They put a 100k sbc 350 out of a 1994, put an intake and edlebrock carb on it. Day 1 of owning it drove great at 3700ft elevation, through day 7 now at 1800ft elevation backfires are becoming more normal, mainly only under leaded foot. I have no idea where to start for timing it, 8-14 is a large range... And Gauges... Based on GPS... my speedometer reads 70ish (it bounces like a mofo) and gps shows 61-62. But based on Odometer when GPS has traveled 41 miles the odometer shows 40... That's opposites... I know they attract but how do I resolve it? Has anyone mounted an aftermarket in place leaving the other gauges factory? Does the fuel gauge always have to bounce? Is there a fix for the lovely duel gas tanks not filling "properly"? I live in oregon an not allowed to pump my own gas, and the fast tenants here freak out on my all the time. Posted via Mobile Device |
