Re: carfax????

That's about all you're really going to find that I know of. 40 years old and only 20 with Internet. Carfax 10 years old I believe. I think the oldest it can go is 85 or so on there. Other than the vin decoder you found there's not much else out there for older vehicles. Probly been through 20 or more owners in its time. Unless its a grandpa bought it new and parked it in the barn its going to be hard to find much info. I've heard of DMV vehicle reports but I'm not sure exactly what's on them. If you find a place let us know. I decoded my vin from lmc truck and got as far as you did.

Re: carfax????

Thank you. I am going to look at this vehicle this weekend and would love to get it (pending finances and thumbs up from wife of course). Seems to be running and all original but needing refurbishment. The rocker panels have already been cut out and new metal welded in place. It's definitely 1a 10 - 15 year project though given complete entry level expertise and money situation.

Re: carfax????

If you're worried about price and if its worth buying you can always take pics and post here and we can help you if we see any major issues with it. Definitely look behind the rocker area and floorboards. Quarter panels and wheel wells too. Rust likes to hide on these trucks. Windshield frames are prone to rust as well as the cowl area behind the hood. And the lower parts behind the rear fender in front of the doors.
