Probably been done many times before but here is my version with scrap steel. This winter I have a 402/300 horse bbc to replace the 350 in my 67 4wd. I am trying to make it as easy on myself as I can.

4- 3/4" bolts on the feet - one for each 2 post lift arm

Deflating front tires will give you a little more room to work.

the lift arms will go up will go up another 2 ft --I did some measuring and I have plenty of room

will do on a few pics -- I am ready but will start after October -- I have the bbc towers and the expensive lmc bbc motor mounts. My winch is 800 lbs but I have all accessories off including exhaust manifolds. Of course I will be pulling the 350 first. I want the low end torque. Cam is mild for these days - a new comp cam 350 hp

LMC list a diff shroud for the bbc --- hoping the sbc shroud will still work out. I am running the short water pump.

Cool sounds good to me. Should be fun to cruise in when you get it all done. I got a few never ending projects so know how they go haha.

Agree on never ending to get the best ride, best exhaust sound, and reliability. I have an lmc hood on it finished that was not constructed correctly in Tiawan. I have a good Texas oem hood that is nof refinshed that I will try on for a better fit --then make a decision from there. Since I lowered the front end by removing 2 leaves (started with a 72 front spring) I need to pop a hole in the front second leaf and add a 1/4 inch clamp to keep it from clacking on a bump. First leaf is arched up and second leaf is arched down with no weight. My hydroboost works well but I got a new rebuilt power steering pump for a hydroboost instead of teeing the return line on the one now. I am sure I will find something else later.

But last week my truck took Best of Show at a local car show. Take that for what it is worth $15. haha But was my day -- we have a lot of nice old vehicles/rods/trucks in Ohio.

ok-- project has started -- mainly showing lift in action but also will end up with big block in. The 69 bbc towers replacing the 67 sbc towers are a little challenge as the bbc towers appear to move the engine back 1". I want to let my trans/transfer case stay where they are so am moving towers and crossmember forward an inch. Since my truck used to be a 2wd, for the front crossmember I used a piece cut out of the top of the 2wd saddle.

Anyway some pics for now.
