What shocks are you running?
New to the forum and mid project. I'm mostly finished with my drivetrain and I'm on to suspension. Truck is a '79 stepside 454 TH400 12 bolt limited slip. I wanted a small drop, only a couple inches, so I could still run stock rally's with big radial tires. I've removed a coil in the front and took a couple leafs from the rear. Truck sits exactly where I want it now. Looking for a little advice on front and rear shocks. I'll have some pics up soon! Thanks in advance.

Re: What shocks are you running?
Well, I like regular old Monroe shocks, mostly because I like the way they ride, and they're cheap enough to change frequently if they wear out. I run stock size fronts in the front and the rear, cuz I lowered eh front with spindles and the back with a flip.

Re: What shocks are you running?
I run Rancho 9000 shocks on the front of my 84 with a 3.5" drop and I have Belltech Street shocks on the rear. The ride is comfortable.

Re: What shocks are you running?
I have Monroe Magnums on there now. They've been on for many years and probably a little tired. I think I'll crawl under and take some quick measurements to see what will fit. I may just put some new Monroe's back on. They run around $70 a shock out here.

Re: What shocks are you running?
Thanks! It's been a labor of love. This truck was bought new in 79 by my dad and it was my first truck at 15. A lot of great memories in this truck. After years of neglect and a few more sitting on the side of the house I decided to start restoring it back to its former glory. It's been fun so far!
