Sport mirror questions
I just bought right and left sport mirrors for my 72 on ebay. Do you all ever see the brackets that go inside the door to reinforce it come up for sale ever? How about the rubber gasket? I see the gaskets in repop. Do they tend to sun rot fast? NOS but no mounting parts. Is this normal? Thanks for any info terry.

Hopefully someone else can confirm whether or not that's all that's on the inside. |

Re: Sport mirror questions
What's in the photo in the LMC book is what's there. I have two 72 doors that originally had sport mirrors waiting to go on my truck and there are just holes, nothing else.

That's what I would do. On the '73-87 there's a small "doubler" (we call it a "soap dish") inside the door to provide some reinforcement. I would think a small flat piece to give it some strength and spread the load would be fine. K
