Re: Custom side marker lens????
I'm really not sure what your meaning by custom side marker lens? Are you talking about the ones with the chrome inserts around the lamps? I think that was an entire production run thing [68-72]. One of my favorite things to do is to put van markers from chev full sized vans from late 70's to late 80's the markers are a perfect fit and will smooth up that area as they give more of a flush mounted look. Re: Custom side marker lens????
My 69 CST was made in Dec., 1968. It came with plain reflectors, no lights or provision for lights. When I bought it in late 69, I called GM and asked why since the later literature said it should have had the deluxe markers as well as a headliner. I was told those were added after my trock was produced. As I recall, they said those were added in late Dec.,1968. Based on that, I'd say that was the first use of the deluxe markers. They were also only used on the high trim level trucks.

Re: Custom side marker lens????
No deluxe side markers for the 1968 model year. The deluxe were all lighted and not used until the middle of the 69 model year. As I stated above, most likely late December of 1968.

Re: Custom side marker lens????
It wont be right, but i think they would look really good on a 68 because they remind me of the grille hoops and add style.
