Questions About Lowering My '71 C10

I have always wanted a lowered truck and I am seriously thinking of doing a 2"-3" on my daily driver C10. I know everyone here seems to like the Early Classics kit but I found these springs and shocks over at Brother's Trucks for less. Has anyone used these before? And with only a 3" rear drop and lowered shocks, do I still need shock relocaters?Brothers Front Lowering Springs

I went with the Early Classics kit and my truck rides great. The shock relocaters and panhard bar play a big part in that.

Even with a 3" lower job u need a shock relocator kit. Trust me. I love the 'no limit' kit. I have the EC track bar though. Any of them are good.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Do the shock relocators bolt on or do they weld on?

The No Limit kit is all bolt on. It also makes the truck handle better since it moves the shock's further back and on to the frame rails behind the back wheels.

Re: Questions About Lowering My '71 C10

Is the truck drivable without the shock relocaters? I ask because it is likely that I will have to do this in stages since this is my daily driver.

Yes, very much so. It will just ride a bit softer in the back when you install the relocators later.

I would think you could change front and rear springs and shocks and do the relocators in a day.

Re: Questions About Lowering My '71 C10

I want to make sure that my springs are not sagging so I can get an idea on how far it will drop. My measurements are currently LF 31.5" RF 32 LR 32.5 RR 33.5. How close to stock is this. Btw these measures are taken from the middle of the wheel arches.
