First year for EGR valve on 250 engine? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have searched a lot and could not find when Chevy installed EGR valves on the inline 250 6 cylinder. Seams like for cars it was 1973? Trying id a 250 engine from image, it has what looks like a EGR valve.

I would guess it is 1973, for C and K 10 w/ I6 250CI engine. Based on earliest engines parts stores sell EGR valves.
