Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon question

I was looking at buying an 07 Suburban,
What are the airbag lights in the overhead console?
Should they be on when someone is in the driver or passenger seat?
I'm confused,I thought they only come on when airbag is off due to weight of passenger.

Thanks!

Re: Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon question

The air bag lights in my Sierra change when there is someone in the passenger seat. The air bag is on when the seat has someone in it, and off when the seat is empty.
