Howdy YJ!
My work's firewall blocks your pics
Just wanted to say I ran an 'over' extended drive line for about two yrs until I could afford to by newer stronger ones. It never faild..well I guess it did but it was the ujoint/ears at the pumpkin that blew not the splines..so ya it's not perfect but you can prolly run it just fine for now...

Hope to drive to the exhaust shop tomorrow morning - hopefully I don't wake up too many neighbors :-)

Re: Project "Might as Well Make it Right While I'm at It!"

Made it to the exhaust shop this morning - had to lose the x-pipe for the way we routed the exhaust - but no big deal. I really can't tell any sound or power difference, course, it's been over a year since it last ran so no way to really compare it.

Hit the car wash and got the cat paw prints and dust off to. Definitely different driving this as opposed to the K5. Can't recall getting any thumbs up or waves while driving the K5 but got numerous waves, thumbs ups and stares. Pretty funny actually.

Got to take a run to buy some straw for our garden - nice to have the truck running again!!!

Glad to see it functional again. Are you going to drive it for a while before you get into the D60 swap?

Definitely will drive for a little while before I do the Dana 60 swap, though that swap will be pretty simple. Will be missing my front driveshaft until then though as it is to short with the transfer case moved back and will need some modification for the Dana 60 swap.

I can't believe it's been that long since you've done anything to it, glad to see it's back on the road.

Pretty said, wasn't it! No excuse other than life was too busy to make the time I needed.
