292 I6 fuel injected anybody got one?

looking for ANYTHING on 292, with fuel injection, or any carb setup that works nice with stock cam shaft. i have a 600 cfm edlbrock to play with, not sure if that'd be to much carb for this little beast. any help is always welcome thanks-Matt

Do a Google search on this subject, I saw a sight on this subject a while a go.

Re: 292 I6 fuel injected anybody got one?

If memory serves me, one can use a TBI set up from a fuel injected V6 gm engine, since there are no direct injectors with the throttle body one can just hook the TBI (looks like a 2 barrell carb) up to the intake, install the computer, hook up the ignition and go for it. (do a search for details) it will provide much more detail......Kieth

A 600 cfm Edelbrock will work fine on a 292 as long as you run Headers and an HEI. I am currently running a brand new outta the box 600 Edelbrock on my 292 and I can floor it in all gears and it won't flood out. I am running a Pertronix HEI, BUT I don't recommend them. A stock GM HEI or a DUI HEI will work a ton better. A Clifford intake and Headers will work fine. But if you are going to modify the Carb it will be a good idea to split the exhaust. Here is a picture of mine. Runs great and I am just touching the pedal cruising at 2,500 rpm doing around 50-55 mph. If you need any more info let me know.
