Question on rear shock absobers
So I'm replacing the shocks on my 1975 C25 and I'm a bit puzzled by something I noticed when I took the first one off (rear passenger side)
The bolt has these sort of plates on it that prevent me from pulling it out of the old shock. |

Your new shocks should have come with a mounting stud to replace that bolt

Yeah, depending upon the brand of shocks that you buy, they will either come with a "bolt together" stud that is removable....or it will come pre-installed, just like you already have.
Either way, you don't need to get those apart.

Yeah the hardware that came with it looks way different from what I took off, but I'm gonna try it out when I get home from work.

E.D.75GMC; I have the same issue with my 73. I was told that I need to have the "hardware" pressed in.

I had to use a bench vise to press mine in... PITA!!!! lots of blood sweat and tears for a small bushing/bolt...
