Re: steering wheel questions
I have 2 ideas for you.
First, collapse the column. I did mine in one morning, gave me around 1.5 - 2 extra inches, real easy to do http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=191143 Here is a link to steering wheel resizing, you can use same idea to flatten as well, gonna do that too someday http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=457422 Although your horn ring would make this more complicated, you would have to rework it and have it rechromed or something... hope this helps

Re: steering wheel questions
I`m not sure but I think they started collapsable columns in `60 if so there is no reason you couldn`t that I can think of, maybe someone else knows.

Re: steering wheel questions
It looks like the intermediate shaft (the black one) could be replaced with a 67-up shaft and do the shortening trick.
Wouldn't cost much at all (find one on the board here cheap) and give it a try... easy, and can be undone if I am wrong. I would sure try it...

Whoa, there actually are other people as crazy as me. I cut down my '66 Custom wheel to 15", but kept spoke angles the same so I could keep my original horn ring. I doubt I'd do another though! I shortened the column 3" as well to give more room in the cab. 15" wheel resizing: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=517005

Re: steering wheel questions
It looks like it is the front bench out of a 90's suburban. I bout one for my truck from a junk yard. The only problem is it is real hard to find replacement upholstery for them and the back does not tilt forward.
