Check that tranny to see if it's a TH475. Some big motorhomes had them from what I've been told. They are supposed to have stronger gears and might be worth a bit to somebody.

That's exactly what the tranny was. No amount of money would get him to sell it ot me either.
Here's the 454 today. Should be ready to drop in very soon.

What was the story on the RV.. sure didn't look that bad, I would love to have one of those for family vacations! Good luck on the engine.. a 454 in a short bed. will really scream!

imo, the crown vic is cooler than the new impala cop cars...i like the ford crown vic police cars more than the new chevy impalas because they are rear drive and the new impalas are front or some sort of all wheel drive...? the ford had a v8 and the impalas have a v6 i beleive. but the impalas look much cooler. ive never heard of the th475... sounds interesting. will have to do some research...
