I have a 72 k10 with a 12 bolt 307 diff ratio. This is the factory rearend, would this be a Dana 44 or is this just called a 12 bolt? I obviously don't know a lot about this subject. Any input would be appreciated.

K10 should have a 12 bolt if it's original. Link below has pics of various differentials that have been used throughout the years and models.
