how much does it weigh

hi everybody i own a 1950 chev truck shortbox and i am measuring for the
driveshaft and i need to know how much does a shortbox weighs thank you for
your help

my guess would be 300-400 lb with wood.

Yeah a bit of a sketchy question. Measuring for a driveshaft I would think your filling out a tech sheet and the want the entire vehicle weight???? I believe the 47-54 short box 1/2 ton pickup just over 3000 pounds, but like Orrie said,, the bed and wood alone is probably in the <500 pound range.

I figured he wanted to add weight to the frame so it was compressed to measure the length, should be shorter than unloaded.
