restored gauge cluster

So I am as giddy as a kid in a candy store.

Board member TBone1964 was kind enough to accept my old beat up instrument panel and take on the task of restoration and adding a period correct electric clock to the left side for me.

Received it today and just had to share how happy I was to have it in my hands.

Thanks again Tom, your work is much appreciated.

Re: restored gauge cluster

It looked like this one and it was not a mechanical cluster as it is now.

It was pretty sad looking.

Big difference. Looks good for sure. Like the addition of the clock.

Nice job; but appears he owes you a half-tank of gasoline!

Re: restored gauge cluster

I looked at a lot of clocks and if I remember correctly this is out of a 60-62 corvette.

I do reserve the right to be wrong though.

It was a lot less money than changing over to modern looking gauges and it is more or less original.

I debated about going ahead and putting in a set of Autometer or Dolphins but this unit was less money and I like the look more.

I may get a Tach for the other side some day....But I would really like to have a Compass in the other hole.
