Depends how bad you want it. I'd pay 8k for a cherry survivor. Then again I've had two 87 Silverado k30 for under a grand. I'd pay for the right truck.

It's a real clean 99k mile truck that was babied! Unmolested, original wheel covers...etc. only issue it's dark brown...
They are wanting 9k |

I'd say that's in the ball park for an excellent example. That dark brown truck can look great.

Right on the money in my area. Worth it all day long if it's truly rust free.

Re: 1987 454 4x4 SRW Silverado value??
I'd say that is a good deal even if its brown. I have sold a couple MINT K30's in the mid teens! $9k is a buy in my opinion. Mint K30's will not go down in value and seeing what they are going for on ebay...I know not always a good representation but still they are pull way over the $9K asking price of the one your looking at....double in some cases.

Look up the NADA book value and go from there.
Helps eliminate the sentimental pricing and the the E-bay "rare, OOP..." factor (or for that matter, the Barrett-Jackson, my trucks worth ? cause one sold for...)

Re: 1987 454 4x4 SRW Silverado value??
I think NADA and KBB goe by all those factors pointed out. Their high end is crazy high. They are not experts on older vehicles they had stopped paying attention to after 5 years till 35-40 years later. There are too many factors to write a book on set values on anything. Classic vehicle values fall under the "market price" category, like those great entrees on the menu at a fancy restaurant. Just have to look around for examples for comparison.
