frozen clutch
The clutch is stuck in my 71 chevy stepside 4x4. What is a good way to free it?

Set parking brake, with engine shut off put in high gear, stand on brake and clutch pedals and bump the starter....repeat as necessary

Exactly what do you mean by "stuck"?
Is it like you have the clutch in all of the time? Is it like you have the clutch out all of the time? Is the pedal just flopping around with no pressure to it? Inquiring minds want to know??? |

Be prepared. If its been sitting and the clutch material is bonded to the flywheel it tears the clutch material off when it breaks loose.
