Lowering control arm
I have not seen any one here yet... But has anyone made their own lowering control.... If so would like to see how it's done. ..

Re: Lowering control arm
Two basic ways, move the Ball joint up or move the spring pocket down. Either way be confident in your Fab abilities and equipment. I made my own uppers and boxed my lowers.

Re: Lowering control arm
Either way you do it,... the spring pocket gets closer to the ground.
The pivot point of the lower a-arm (the lowest point of these truck suspension's design),... is already too close to the ground, on extreme dropped truck. For mildly dropped trucks,... a drop spindle, or a drop spring (or both),... is a much better choice.

Otherwise the tried and true 3" and 3" drop spindle will get you pretty low. My friends truck has drop arms and we can't stand it with the spindles combined it just drags the ground everywhere. He can't keep up with our group cause he always has to drive slower so not to possibly hit something more stubborn than the truck and end up wasting the frame alignment.
