Re: '74 cheyenne super door panels

Well I guess they could be. But the truck was a guaranteed one owner when I bought it and removed the door panels 15 years ago. Sure looked to me I was the first one in there. Nothing on the truck had been fooled with. Thanks for the the reply.

Re: '74 cheyenne super door panels

Late 70s to early 90 Caprice used a similar pull strap. Also the "custom" or "conversion" van builders used them. The silver caps should come off the bezels revealing the screw attachment. I think the second hole from the end would have been slightly larger. Typicaly, that screw went through to the metal door structure behind the plastic door panel for strength. That screw was notorius for loosening up or stripping out. Chip.

Re: '74 cheyenne super door panels

Every GM pull strap I ever saw was screwed directly to the door. I don't like the idea of pulling on the door panel for many years. It matches nice though and I would add some in a heartbeat if I found a good match for my truck. The arm rest pad isn't a good enough spot to grab imo.

Re: '74 cheyenne super door panels

My '74 Cheyenne Super K10 doesn't have them, nor are there any holes to indicate they were ever there.
