DIC Warning Light
Hey guys. I've got a 2012 Silverado LT with 5.3 and auto tranny. When I crank up my truck, I keep getting a Windshield Washer fluid low warning on the instrument panel.
I checked it and it was low so I filled it to the top with fresh fluid. The problem I'm having is the light want stay off. It still comes on every time I crank the truck up and it stays on until I shut it off. I have cleared it on the DIC and the light will go off, but as soon as I shut it down and crank it back up, the warning light will come back on. Is there a way to shut if off so that it will stay off? It seems like it doesn't know I refilled it.

Re: DIC Warning Light
The sensor in the tank is bad. Your truck should still be under warrantee. Take it to the dealer and have them fix it. There is no reset function in the DIC to reset the windshield washer fluid.
You could try smacking the tank near the sensor with the handle of a screw driver. Sometimes they start working again.
