Bagging a bird...61 Falcon.
Here's the next one on the chopping block...1961 Falcon. Plans are bags, narrowed and stepped control arms and 18" Billet Specialties Vintecs.

I'd be afraid to alter it, but I'm a wussy when it comes to that. Car looks great!

Wow, love it. I love the greens and blues used in the 60s... I wish they would use them on cars today.

Re: Bagging a bird...61 Falcon.
I always like those boxy little falcons, with it bagged on 18's you could be tuckin' some serious lug nuts! A 4.6 would make it real fun but doubt it would fit between those shock towers. MustangII clip?

Re: Bagging a bird...61 Falcon.
Sad to F-up a car so clean, but even though it's the father of the Mustang, it's not very desirable.

Update? Have tools been relieved of their comfortable toolboxes and put to work?

Re: Bagging a bird...61 Falcon.
Getting around a little after knee surgery. Have added later style upper and lower control arms to get the larger ball joints... pie cut the uppers to eliminate bind. Also had to ream stock spindles to accept the larger ball joints. Installed Global West adjustable strut rods to help align the front end and free up suspension movement. Have TCP bump steer kit that will be modified to work with my early spindles and allow the steering not to bind at full dump. Out back de arched leafs and custom solid aluminum 3 1/2" blocks with a 3 degree taper to help driveline angle. The lower control arm rest on the sub frame at full dump...so this is as low without hacking up the car you can go. Also took 5/8" off rearend while it was out for a little deeper wheel out back. 18" Vintecs almost look small!

It's amazing how wheels and stance can transform a car.
Cool stuff, Keith.

Re: Bagging a bird...61 Falcon.
Amazing. Glad you are making that car more desirable at least. That is what I would do also.

Re: Bagging a bird...61 Falcon.
Wow! Soooooooo much easier to start with a clean vehicle. Just do the fun part and not the drudge of rust repair and on and on and on. I need to learn this lesson!
