Temp gauge wires

Anyone ever connect both light green and dark green temp wires to
a temp gauge? I did today and it seems to work.

Re: Temp gauge wires

I have a stock temp gauge and aftermarket temp sender. The sender only has one prong so I crimped both temp wires together and the gauge reads. I just don't know how accurate it is. I was wondering if anyone has done this.
