Ac elimination?
Hey gang!
Normally I use the search function, but could'nt think of a way to search, so, here we go. I have an AC 70 truck. It stop functioning long before I got the truck. I don't like all the stuff on the firewall associated with the AC. I think its an eye sore. I still need my heater of course, as I live in Indiana. Have any of you thought of a way to eliminate all that stuff on the firewall to make it look better? Got any pictures of what you done? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Ac elimination?
Watash, Thats pretty cool, but your right, expensive, little over $200,00 bucks including shipping? Ouch. I guess I could try to form my own cover by laying down fiberglass.
I was hoping for a quick solution. My engine went out unexpectedly and the engine and tranny is out. Luckily, I started building a new engine for it last year and was going to put it in this spring. Its now at a buddies garage and I'm driving one of his trucks, so, a leisurely solution won't do. |

Re: Ac elimination?
Well, I think I have everything you need. I just pulled my heater sytem out completely to instal a Vintage Air A/C system. I'm not using any of it. I even have the heater control panel that you'll need. Let me know if you're interested and I'll take some pics of the parts.
If you want to see them installed check out my build thread in my signature.

Re: Ac elimination?
Nice truck Z10! I guess I just don't like that big protrusion of fiberglass that sticks out. Thanks for the offer though. I'll have to take it off anyway to fix the rust outs that seem to happen in the uper corners of the firewall on our trucks. Maybe I will think of something then.
