Behind the seat speaker panels

Looking at my newly acquired 62 c10, noticing it only has the kick panel speakers down by the floor pan, no rear speakers. At one time it had some type of rear speakers because the wires are neatly coiled up behind each seat corner. It almost looks like a blank spot on the upper cab corners behind the seat like there might have been speaker panels there also. Do they make speaker panels for this location? Went on ebay but found no such thing. Found plenty of kick panel speakers but nothing for behind the seat.

Re: Behind the seat speaker panels

My 81 had them but you will have to custom make one. ROD DOORS use to have a panel but unless someone picked up where they left off contact local shop.

Re: Behind the seat speaker panels

Just went out to garage to snap a couple pics. Is there something missing behind the seat? Just looks very unfinished and wondering if there is supposed to be some type of panel there?

Re: Behind the seat speaker panels

Looks like previous owner had cover made. There is a cardboard cover that was stock.

Not many trucks have the cardboard cover anymore, and if you find one you`ve found gold....LOL

Re: Behind the seat speaker panels

Guess I need to use my imagination and create something, looks very empty as it is. Maybe I can make a nice speaker box that goes from side to side and covers the ugly gas tank at the same time.
