Specific bed filler measurement needed please

Hi all, I have a question related to relocating tanks to the rear.

I have looked for threads showing the relocating of tanks.

What I need to know is the distance from the side of a long fleetside to either the edge or centre of a bed mounted filler so that I can have it exiting in the centre of a regular length of bed wood.

Unfortunately I have a checker plate metal floor at the moment which will probably stay for the time being to carry the bike when the time comes.

I am getting a tank made in the UK due to total cost involved in getting one from the USA, using the measurements of one of these :
http://www.brotherstrucks.com/prodin...number=ATK6372

This is the look I would love, with the filler dead centre of the board

Any advice or pictures and diagrams and measurements greatly appreciated

Thanks. Martin

Mine does not come through the center of a board as in the pic above. Can you use this info to figure yours?
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...1&postcount=5’ back frame dimensions.
http://www.gmcpauls.com/47-72_BedWood_Info.htm I used this to cut and machine my boards.
Dimension from left inside of bed to center of bed mount bolt = 20.25”
Dimension from left inside of bed to center of 4th board from the left = 26.26”
Dimension from center of bed mount bolt to center of 4th board from the left = 6.0”

NOW THATS A GREAT REPLY.

At least now Martin will get to sleep at night while the tank is being made up.

Re: Specific bed filler measurement needed please

Many have taken the time to do the same for me. That's what makes this the best forum going for people that want to fix and drive these old trucks.

Glad I could help
