The knock sensor must screw into the side of the block. This is the way it detects any spark knock, through the cylinder walls. I don't have any idea in which hole it would be on a stock TPI engine, but you only have 4 block drain holes, 2 on each side. The only limitation would be wire routing, if you are using the stock wiring.
