PRND switch 4l80e
Picked up the 80e yesterday. 70,000 miles on it for 350 bucks. What have you guys been doing with the gear indicator? My cut down harness has provisions for the smaller (bottom) plug, but the top one ran into the fuse block so I eliminated it. Are you guys just running a single wire gear indicator?

Re: PRND switch 4l80e
Unless you're going to use the neutral safety part of it or back up lights you only need the one plug.

Re: PRND switch 4l80e
Most of us aren't using the lit-up Hud indicator, since its for stock gauges.
Lots of the aftermarket auto shifters have the positions marked, or you can buy an aftermarket setup (or use the dakota digital style cluster that uses one).
