Make a car hauler out of it (put a Hodges hauler body on it).

Re: what to do with this gmc? pics
This looks like a pretty BIG project to just get roadworthy. There's a reason it's for sale at that price! JMO
I'd say pass unless you're willing to commit to significant labor+cost. cheers JohnG |

Re: what to do with this gmc? pics
1. How much rust is the biggest question?
2. Then do you have room for it? 3. Do you already have some of the parts it will need like a bed etc. or need some of the parts it could give? 4. Are you married? 5. Do you want to stay married?

Re: what to do with this gmc? pics
Lol, so I picked this sucker up for 200$. I couldn't pass it up.even for parts it was worth bit but the 350 runs nice with edelbrock intake and headers..
I figure maybe I'll rip the bed sides off of it and repaint the bed and redo the bed wood.or sell it ad throw a real bed on it. Maybe a 4x4 conversion? Or strip it for parts for the Shortbed. And part it out on the board here. Any other opinions or coolbodeas are welcome. I'm in it for nothing.hmmmm....

Re: what to do with this gmc? pics
I would take the cab/front end maybe the motor and trans and crush what ever is left to get my $200 back. Maybe build a swb later

It would make an awesome around the property style truck if you have the land that is. My buddy turned an old farm truck like that into his property only style with a dump bed and plow on front. I'm guessing snow isn't an issue where you live lol.
