Reg. Cab’s, Suburban’s, Crewcab’s Interior Trim

Currently working on my 1986 Crewcab and thinking about adding interior trim to dress it up a bit. I finding it stuff to locate a Crewcab with the interior trim in place but I can find Suburban’s and Reg. Cabs all day long. I know, I can take most of the Suburban trim (back doors forward) but that still leaves me without the rear corner area and around the rear glass.

I was thinking, is it possible to take the rear corner area and around the glass of a Reg. Cab and combine it with the trim of a Suburban to create a trim package for a Crewcab?

Any one tried this in the past?

yea it would work. there the same far as i know

That's how the factory trim was done. There is a filler that is about 2" long that transitions the pieces on each side. I am pretty sure the headliner board is crew cab specific.

So is the 2 inch filler just a straight piece or is it something else?

The filler has a small crook in it. Maybe someone with a CC will chime in and add a pic.

I cant add the picture but that piece is alittle metel that fallows the trim above the rear door and as far as I know it crew cab only

so headliner carpet and that piece are the only parts that are cc only

The "B" pillar trim and the trim above the doors are different between the crew cabs and Suburbans as well. In the Suburbans, the trim over the doors covers OVER the top of the B" pillar trim. On the Crew Cabs it tucks under the top edge of the "B" pillar trim. Plus the Suburbans upper trim is too short at the rear to fit properly in a crew cab by about 3/4 of an inch. Just enough to keep it from being covered by the "FILLER PIECE" mentioned in an earlier post.
On a regular cab truck the trim behind the doors on it's "B" pillar are the same as those found in a crew cab on it's "C" pillar as well as the trim above the rear window and on the windshield and "A" pillars.

Oh and lotsa luck on finding a headliner.

I know I'm digging up bones, but I just had to add...
The suburban trim works just fine in the crew cabs, I have personally used burb trim in a crew and the little trim piece shown above covered the gap like it is suppose to.

Does anyone know the GM part number for that little trim piece?
