cheapie ebay oil catch cans

I keep reading about how these motors ingest oil through the PCV into the intake

anyone running one of these cheap ebay catch cans?

I had a fancy $$$ one some years back on a big block, and it seemed exactly like this thing IIRC

also open to better ideas.

A bit pricey but it is well made and looks stock.

Yikes. thats $160 for the same thing as a sprite bottle with some holes punched in it....

The only thing about really cheap ones is that the fittings usually aren't the highest quality, and the "level" tube on the side sometimes can leak. Usually you can find a million of these under different sellers, and there are a few better ones out there. I had one like that on my SRT4 and aside from a slight weep on the level thing, it worked well.

I used one of these, and it was pretty nice.. much better quality than the ebay round ones.

It never leaked, had nice fittings and a well made mounting solution.

It wasn't cheap but I was able to put it in an forget it other than when I checked the oil. It also looked stock so I didn't have to worry about the CA smog Nazi's failing me on visual.

how are you guys plumbing these on truck style intakes? to the TB pcv port and to the valve covers?

Supply side from driver's side valve cover to catch can and return side from catch can to intake.

like direct to the plenum?

shouldnt matter because the MAF is upstream of all that
so "total" air is all measured already

uh,did that make any sense at all?

like i said. very new to these motors.
