73 gmc headlights
one light is normal the other is orange looking. is this a sealed beam going bad or a problem with the switch ? thanks guys

Most likely a poor ground or bad connector on the dim light.
Each headlight has it's own ground wire that runs from the light socket to a ground screw on the radiator support. Check the ground screw and the ring terminal on the ground wire to make sure they're in good condition without any rust or corrosion. Also make sure the radiator support is clean & free of rust or paint build-up in the spot where the ground wire attaches. Next, wiggle the connector on the back of the dim headlight while watching to see if it gets brighter. If it does, the connector probably has a bit of light corrosion on the contacts. Try unplugging it and spraying the contacts with some electrical contact cleaner. A problem with the headlight switch would equally affect both sides. |

Thanks again ray it was the ground. Hit the area with a scotch brite pad. Everything back to normal
